Fort Thomas to Hold Its Sesquicentennial (150th) Celebration in July 2017
The summer of 2017 is going to be busy time in Fort Thomas, as the Kentucky town will hold its sesquicentennial (150th) celebration in July. Planning for the celebration, which will span an entire week beginning Sunday, July 2, is well underway, according to a post on Fort Thomas Matters.
Council members met earlier this month to share developments concerning the celebratory event and to pitch activities, which have yet to be set in stone. Ideas include everything from a special dinner at Colonel De Gourmet Herbs & Spices in Fort Thomas to fireworks, a city-wide happy hour, lawn bowling, and concerts. If you'd like to help out with Fort Thomas's 150th Celebration, note that the planning committee is in need of volunteers!
