An Event You Won’t Want to Miss: Oktoberfest Zinzinnati on Sept. 15-17
80,500 bratwursts. 16,002 strudel. 1,875 pounds of German potato salad. This is Oktoberfest Zinzinnati in numbers. It should come as no surprise that this is the largest Oktoberfest in the entire country. It's been around for more than two decades—you may remember the 1994 Oktoberfest, as this was the year that fest-growers broke the record for the most people participating in the chicken dance at a single time (48,000).
This year's Oktoberfest Zinzinnati runs from September 15th to the 17th in downtown Cincinnati, along Second and Third streets. Partake in fun activities like the Gemuetlichkeit ("Goodwill") Games, which include beer stein racing and beer barrel rolling. Stop and grab a scoop of potato salad, a serving of sauerkraut, or an authentic bratwurst. Listen to live German music, shop souvenirs, and be part of this year's World's Largest Chicken Dance—it might just break that '94 record.
