American Sign Museum: Home to a Century’s Worth of American Sign History
Chances are you see dozens of signs on a daily basis, and most of them probably escape your notice. The American Sign Museum sets out to change that. True to its name, the museum is devoted entirely to signs, from vintage signs up through contemporary signs.
It dedicates 20,000 square feet to a century’s worth of sign history in America. Stroll down "Main Street" to check out the classic signs displayed in the windows of its faux storefronts. Some of them hung in actual storefront windows for many years, and you’ll be able to tell from their weathered edges. But others never left the box and remain in flawless condition. So, the next time you have a free afternoon, check out the American Sign Museum to see the country’s largest collection of historical signage.
