Celebrate at the Historic Lebanon Horse-Drawn Carriage Parade and Christmas Festival on Dec. 2
It used to be common to hear the clip-clop of hooves trotting down cobblestone streets, but in modern-day Lebanon, it's a rarity. Except, that is, when the Historic Lebanon Horse-Drawn Carriage Parade and Christmas Festival come to town. For one day each year, horses mosey up and down the streets of downtown Lebanon, towing beautifully embellished carriages behind them.
This year, the parade and festival are slated for Saturday, December 2nd. The fun begins at 10 a.m. when carolers begin to stroll the streets, Santa and Mrs. Claus start taking toy request, and the North Pole Express starts to chug toward Santa's Workshop with delighted families on board. At 1 and 7 p.m., the buzz of the festival temporarily dies down while the horse-drawn carriages flood the streets. Go shopping or enjoy some food and drink in between the festivities. Admission is free.
