Celebrate Labor Day at the Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks at Riverfest

When local radio station WEBN turned 10 years old more than four decades ago, its founders decided to celebrate with a bang—literally. In honor of the momentous occasion, they hosted the first ever Western & Southern / WEBN Fireworks at Riverfest. Now all these years later, the event has become a tradition.

This year, the free fireworks show returns to Cincinnati on Sunday, September 2nd. Celebrate the long Labor Day weekend by heading to Sawyer Point, parking your car, and tuning the radio to WEBN (102.7 FM). Starting at 9 p.m., the radio station will broadcast tunes that perfectly coincide with the 30-minute fireworks extravaganza. If you want to head to the river a little early, you can enjoy a full day of music, food, and fun at the Riverfest before the fireworks commence.
