Get Outside for a Good Cause at the Ohio River Paddlefest
The Ohio River Paddlefest boasts the title of Largest Paddling Event in America. The Paddlefest draws outdoor enthusiasts from 21 states every year—more than 2,000 of them—to participate in the nine-mile journey down the Ohio River. If you're a lover of the great outdoors, join them this year on Saturday, August 4th.
The adventure begins at the Schmidt Recreation Complex where folks board their kayaks and canoes around 7 a.m. As soon as they push off from the shore, the paddlers begin to make their way down the river toward the finish line at the Gilday Riverside Park. The trek culminates in the Finish Line Festival, a celebration of participants' accomplishment with entertainment, snacks, and drinks. Be part of the fun this year and help to raise funds for the Outdoor Adventure Clubs of Greater Cincinnati, which take school-aged children on free excursions into nature.
