If approved, the 12-mile-long, 20-inch-wide pipeline &#8212; pressurized up to 400 pounds per square inch &#8212; will cut a path right through Sycamore Township, between the Lebanon and Norwood areas of Cincinnati.<\/p>\n<p>Since it was first proposed to the Ohio Power Siting Board, Duke Energy has reduced the size of the pipeline; however, neighbors remain steadfast in their opposition. &ldquo;Accidents can happen no matter how many regulations are in place and natural gas is highly combustible,&rdquo; says Ronna Lucas, a founding member of Neighbors Opposing Pipeline Extension (NOPE) in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cincinnati.com\/story\/news\/local\/blue-ash\/2017\/01\/13\/residents-continuing-fight-dukes-pipeline\/96749128\/\" target=\"_blank\">an article on Cincinnati.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Two pipeline routes have been proposed to the Ohio Power Siting Board, who will hold two public hearings as part of its review process.
